 Florida Highway Patrol has released information regarding an overnight fatal crash involving a young child, in Hillsborough County.

Vehicle 2, a Toyota RAV4, driven by a 30-year-old Dundee woman, was traveling eastbound on I-4.  Vehicle 1, a Jeep Cherokee, driven by a 21-year-old Englewood woman, was traveling eastbound on I-4 behind Vehicle 2.  Near Milepost 10, Vehicle 1 overtook and collided with the rear of Vehicle 2.  Post-impact, Vehicles 1 and 2 came to final rest along the outside shoulder and inside eastbound lane respectively.

Drivers 1 and 2 suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to area hospitals.  Also traveling within Vehicle 2 was a 34-year-old Orlando woman who was not injured.  Additionally, within Vehicle 2 was a three-year-old male, a six-year-old female, and a one-year-old female.  All three children were transported to an area hospital where the one-year-old expired from injuries suffered during the collision.  The other two children were listed with non-life-threatening injuries.
