34-year old Juan Martinez of Winter Haven got arrested by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office on Sunday, February 16th.

At about 9:30pm, PCSO deputies were dispatched to an in-progress burglary occurring in the area of Thornhill Road and Temple Street, west of Winter Haven.
Upon the arrival of the first deputy, Juan was found leaning inside of a vehicle that he was burgling. Juan was immediately detained.
During the investigation, Juan provided a false name.
Juan became increasingly agitated and demanded that the deputy remove the handcuffs from him, and threatened to murder the deputy.
Juan was arrested and taken to the Polk County Jail, and his true identity was discovered.
Juan Martinez was charged with burglary of conveyance, corruption by threat on a LEO, providing false identity to LEO, petit theft, and resisting.
